Privacy policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
This policy explains what happens to your personal information when you use this website or get in touch with Dr Mariam Samra.
Who is responsible
Dr Mariam Samra, a dentist registered with the General Dental Council (registration number 290981), trading as Dr Mariam Dental & Aesthetics, is responsible for this website. You can contact her at drmariamsamra@outlook.com.
This website
This website has no accounts, no forms and no analytics. It does not set cookies that need your consent, so there is no cookie banner. The fonts and pictures are served from the site itself, not from other companies.
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running. We do not use these logs to identify you.
When you contact us
If you phone, email or message Dr Mariam on Instagram, she uses the details you give her to reply and to arrange a consultation if you want one. Messages sent on Instagram are also processed by Meta under its own privacy policy.
We only ask for what we need, and we keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with them. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to take steps before treatment, and our legitimate interest in answering your questions.
Please do not send medical records or photographs of your health by Instagram. We will tell you the safest way to share them if they are needed.
Your dental records
When you are treated at a dental practice, that practice holds your clinical records and is responsible for them under its own privacy notice. If you are treated at Bupa Dental Care Accrington, please see Bupa's notice for how your records are used.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We may share it where the law requires us to, or where it is needed to protect someone's safety.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict how we use it, or to object to how we use it. To do any of these, email drmariamsamra@outlook.com.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
